No airplanes overhead, no distant (or nearby) highway sounds, telephone, radio or tv. Could we actually survive the silence?

Nice photo. She looks either very content to not be doing anything or she is bored out of her skull. I can relate because this is exactly how it feels to be living in the woods here in The Mad River Valley of Vermont.
